Statement of Beliefs

Doctrinal Beliefs of Life To Life

  • We believe in one true God, consisting of three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each true deity, equal and co-eternal. (II Corinthians 13:14)

  • We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, that it is inerrant and authoritative, and is sufficient truth and guidance for all aspects of life and godliness.  (II Peter 1:3,4 & 1:20,21)  We further believe that all Scripture is profitable for knowledge, reproof, correction, and training pertaining to life and ministry. (II Timothy 3:16,17)

  • We believe that the Son of God, Jesus, was born of the virgin, Mary, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:33 – 35)

  • We believe that Jesus, the Christ, during His time on earth, was truly God and truly man.  We believe that He lived a sinless life, though tempted in all ways as are humans, and willingly gave His life as a sacrifice for the atonement of people’s sins. (Mark 10:45)

  • We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead by God the Father. (I Corinthians 15:3,4, 14 & Romans 1:4)

  • We believe that any person who believes in the atoning sacrifice of Christ on their behalf, confesses his/her sins, and asks Jesus Christ to be her/his Savior, asking forgiveness of sins, shall be saved resulting in eternal life. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, & I Peter 3:18)

  • We believe that an aspect of eternal life is a personal relationship with God. (John 17:3)

  • We believe that acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior is the only way a person can be saved and have eternal life. (John 14:6 & Acts 4;12)

  • We believe that God desires Christians to grow to spiritual maturity. (Colossians 1: 28,29 & Hebrews 6:1 & Ephesians 4: 14,15)

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit of God indwells believers and gives spiritual gifts to believers for the purpose of building up the church. (I Corinthians 12:1-11 & I Peter 4;10)

  • We believe in the great value of Christian fellowship and church worship (Hebrews 10:24,25), and in the value of discipleship and personal ministry of all committed believers.(Matthew 28:19,20 & II Corinthians 5:18-20)
